LAS FLORS
“This estate aims to rival the great Negly for making the top wines in Languedoc” Robert Parker (Wine Advocate)
I hope this Big Chief quote will more than exaggerate my point, TRY THIS ONE! It is smooth and complicated with a great finish. The Languedoc region produces a lot of gems we never see or taste here in the U.S. and because of this I was more apt to try this wine with a condescending nose. It certainly put me in my California Cabplace, distributed in South Florida through European Cellars, and I am sure other places will be catching on to it soon enough. In fact, I noticed
Gary V has it for ordering at a value. Please realize, a decent $10-15 bottle is good at times, but this La Flors De La Piera should be priced higher, as it evokes elegance and earth in a smooth balance.
Look out for this one in your local wine shops that specialize in smaller boutique bottlers.
