berries, mmm.

In celebration of May Day and the warm sunshine, I have gone fruit-crazy. It helps that delicacies like blackberries and mangoes are on sale, but I would splurge for the fresh seasonal fruits either way.
Decadent desserts seem too heavy when the sun really starts to shine in May, and the color of these berries give anyone reason to eat a healthy dessert.

As for myself, I am having these berries with Greek yogurt for breakfast, as a sweet treat after lunch, and then doused with fresh cream for dessert tonight.
If the juicy flavors don't quite satisfy your dessert needs, then I suggest piling them into a martini glass and drizzling dark melted chocolate and topping with fresh whipped citrus cream.

For the CITRUS CREAM:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup powder sugar
1/2 teaspoon orange juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
Blend all ingredients, and enjoy over dark berries!
