2006 MACON-VERGISSON

MACON-VERGISSON
"La Roche"
I am a die hard Red Wine drinker, in today’s lingo that would be a DHRWD, you know because of all the labeling? Abbreviations?
OMG, LOL, DHRWD.
That is why I must tell you to try this lemony-clean, little sister.
Because God knows I do not drink white wine, unless it’s free, and this was not free. I paid for it, in fact I have bought four bottles. It is that nice. Not the oaky Chardonnay or flimsy Sauvignon Blanc from California that you have been turned off by. This juice is good, simple, and pairs nicely with anything you choose.
She is so easy in the afternoon, light on the palate and the belly, perfectly simple.

If you know anything about France you would have guessed by her description that she’s French. A white from Burgundy. Mmm. Instantly makes me want oysters, knowing full well this is a personal preference, you do not have to like oysters to enjoy this girl.
I have no idea why I must give the wine a HE/SHE connotation, but it’s the mood I’m in, and isn’t that what drinking/writing/blogging is all about?
Hope so.
Synopsis: buy this wine, even if to store in the fridge for a boring rainy day, it is a great value.
Tasting: Bright, honey, jasmine, lots of lemon, and loads of mineral...very good introduction to White Burgunies.
And...........I have been here! Did not realize that till after the bottle was gone, it happens to be one of the more beautiful regions in all of France. Very similar to Germany or Switzerland in landscape.
