Thursday’s are all about food, and in honor of this blog, I went eating. Last night we had dinner at Mahogany Steakhouse, and so long as I am in Oklahoma, the main source of decent food will be found at steakhouses. With that being said, I had the most amazingly, rich, perfect lobster-cargot. That’s right, they churched up the escargot, sans the snails but plenty of butter.
A play on wines.....
Red wine is by far my favorite thing in the world, and fashion, and coffee, and travel, and great books, and my Mac. Red wine is up there with the best of them. I prefer a chunky cabernet or heavy merlot and I want the wine to have so much body, texture, and flavor that I forget I am having dinner and just focus on the bouquet running through my mouth and down my throat. I love wine.

I think everyone should drop what they are doing and go to....

Chasing Harry Winston
For my very first Book Review Monday, I chose a silly book by Lauren Weisberger. I envy her talent, not writing talent, but marketing talent.
Chasing Harry Winston is not a flop, just a silly read with lack of plot.
I might have a problem with coffee...
Hello Lovely Readers
So sorry for the lack of exciting content yesterday. I was dealing with an extreme case of Detoxing side effects. I would love to blame it on our recent trip to Europe, jet lag, anything else, but as my wonderfully intelligent husband pointed out, we have been in Miami for some time. Therefore, it is the detox pills, lack of coffee, or a mix of both that is slowly killing me. I thought a detox kit from a health food store was a good idea, seeing as how I gorged myself on French fries, Dijon mustard, and wine for an entire month. The kit recommended cutting out caffeine and alcohol, so I skipped my coffee, and when the pounding, gut wrenching headache took over me around 1pm, I skipped on Tylenol too (OTC's aren't recommended in this detox either).
I came home, miserable and starving, and cut open a rather large cantaloupe. I then ate the entire, rather large, cantaloupe. That's right....I was then sick with my headache and now a fruit overdose induced stomach ache.....I have a problem, I know.
Monday it was the Special K, now the fresh fruit, I think I should leave healthy food out of my house.
Today, however, my husband force fed me coffee. I slowly came back to health, it was quite miraculous. I have him to thank for my quality of life today. And Starbucks.
